About the festival
Starmus 2026 takes place from 17 to 22 October in Tenerife and La Palma. Its eighth edition, The Search for Truth, combines concerts, science outreach and scientific meetings. Andrea Bocelli, Brian May and Sarah Brightman headline the musical opening, while Rick Wakeman presents a new work at the Pirámide de Arona.
There is no single ticket valid for every activity. If you want to see Bocelli, May and Brightman, the Entradas.com sale is for The Symphony of Stars, on 17 October. General registration, the Science Camp and the closing event in La Palma have different conditions.
Starmus 2026 tickets: what to buy for each activity
The Symphony of Stars: concert on 17 October
The opening session starts at 19:00 at the Puerto de Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Entradas.com listed seats from €129 when checked on 3 October. The price depends on the option available: check the final amount and the conditions before completing your purchase.

ModoFestival may receive a commission if you buy through this link, at no extra cost to you.
This ticket is not the same as registration for the whole of Starmus. Door opening time is still listed as pending confirmation. The ticket listing states that under-16s must be accompanied; check the specific entry conditions in your order.
General registration and included activities
The official Starmus VIII registration is a separate route. The organisers include in the registration the opening concert and ceremony, with reserved seating for participants and return transport from the Pirámide de Arona, as well as the lecture programme and the Rick Wakeman concert. Do not assume those transfers come with a standalone Entradas.com ticket.
The website still shows an early registration notice whose deadline ended on 15 August: it should not be read as an offer still valid in October. Check the current registration conditions rather than relying on old pre-sale prices.
Starmus VIII artists and concerts
Andrea Bocelli, Brian May & Friends and Sarah Brightman headline The Symphony of Stars. The official line-up includes the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Stuart Morley, and links the night to the tenth anniversary of the Stephen Hawking Medal and the first presentation of the Jane Goodall Earth Medal.

The edition's music line-up also features Rick Wakeman, Rusanda Panfili, Johannes Winkler, Ilan Eshkeri and the Starmus All Stars, among others. They are festival participants: their inclusion on that list does not mean they all perform at the opening or share a single session.
On Sunday 18, Wakeman premieres Echoes from Black Holes at 19:00 at the Pirámide de Arona, a composition created for Starmus with a chamber ensemble and projections. The programme lists Space Station Earth as the closing concert in La Palma on Thursday 22 at 19:00.

Day-by-day programme and announced times
The official schedule makes it possible to separate the concerts from the science strand. These are the published time slots, in Canary Islands local time:
- Saturday 17: Science Camp, 12:00–20:00; opening concert and medal ceremony, 19:00, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
- Sunday 18: Science Camp, 12:00–20:00; Rick Wakeman, 19:00, Pirámide de Arona; welcome cocktail, 20:30, at the same venue.
- Monday 19: Science Camp, 11:00–19:00; lectures, 14:00–18:00, Pirámide de Arona.
- Tuesday 20: Science Camp, 12:00–20:00; lectures, 14:00–18:00, Pirámide de Arona; Star Party, 21:00, location not yet announced.
- Wednesday 21: lectures, 14:00–18:00, Pirámide de Arona.
- Thursday 22: GTC 108-Minutes panel, 15:00; closing event Space Station Earth, 19:00, La Palma.
An activity's start time is not its door opening time. Nor is there a confirmed finishing time for the concerts here. For more on the music announcement, see our news story on the Starmus 2026 concerts.
Science Camp and free activities
The Science Camp offers free entry and activities for different ages: experiments, exhibitions, workshops and meetings with science communicators. Its children's programme includes technology and cultural activities, and it promises live music as evening falls.
The schedule places it in the metropolitan area, without specifying a single address here. The Camp being free does not make the opening concert free. For the closing event in La Palma, Starmus announces open public access subject to capacity; do not assume this includes inter-island transport or a guaranteed reservation.
Where it takes place and how to plan your travel
There are two specific venues in Tenerife: the Puerto de Santa Cruz de Tenerife for the opening and the Pirámide de Arona for Wakeman and the lectures. They are not next to each other: choose accommodation and transport based on the activities you will actually attend.
La Palma is a different island. If you are also attending the closing event, you will need to arrange that journey separately; no included transfer is announced in this listing. The exact location of the Star Party is still being withheld by the organisers and the general programme does not specify the closing venue. Do not use an estimated location to book a definitive route.
Useful questions before you buy
Can I go just to the Bocelli, May and Brightman concert?
Yes: there is a separate sale for The Symphony of Stars on 17 October. Select that session, not the general registration.
Does everything take place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife?
No. The schedule spreads activities across Santa Cruz, Arona and La Palma, as well as venues not yet specified. Check the island, venue and date before buying transport.
Does the ticket for the 17th include the Wakeman concert?
It is not presented as such: the standalone ticket covers the opening concert. The organisers do, however, list Wakeman as part of the general registration.
