Dance music festivals in Spain

Dance turns up on the calendar in two ways. The more common one crosses it with pop, a combination shared by most festivals in the genre; the other brings it closer to techno and electronic music, as at Medusa Festival, on the beach at Cullera (Valencia), or at Sun & Snow Festival, in Sierra Nevada.

Madrid is the province with the most events, ahead of Segovia, and June is the most frequent month. Several events carry the nineties in their name and are replicated across cities: Love The 90s Barcelona has editions in Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia.

June brings together the largest block of regular dates, with A Summer Story in Arganda del Rey, PLAY4LIFE in Leganés and Observatorio Festival in Balboa (León), which adds the experimental label. August is left for Medusa and for Tarazona Remember Festival, in Zaragoza.

Autumn keeps things going. September brings Festival Coca Cola Music Experience, at the Iberdrola Music venue in Madrid, and October Lunátikko 90s Festival in Albacete and MyPlaylist Festival in Sevilla. Out of season, Don't Let Daddy Know usually takes place in February in Madrid.

The nostalgic side is spread across the map beyond Love The 90s: Molan Los 90 in León, Eternos 90's in Segovia and Molina Ochentera in Molina de Segura (Murcia) combine pop and dance with a repertoire that their names already announce.
