In short
- Natxo de Felipe will not be playing the Palacio Europa this Sunday: the 19:30 show has been called off because one of the band members is unwell.
- Ticket holders do not need to do anything to keep their tickets, as they will be valid for the new date; anyone who would rather get their money back can request a refund now or once the new date is announced.
- Few tickets remain for the rest of the festival: Otxo Bikotea, Dervish, Luar Na Lubre and Alos Quartet are sold out, while tickets are still on sale for Old Time Spooks with Fillas de Cassandra and for Saltaire, as well as for the Xip Xap family concert.
Natxo de Felipe's return to Vitoria-Gasteiz will have to wait. Aitzina Folk has called off the concert that the founder of Oskorri was due to give with the Kuarteto Philiperena on Sunday 8 November at 19:30 in the Auditorio María de Maeztu at the Palacio Europa, one of the highlights of the festival's fourteenth edition.
Why Natxo de Felipe's concert has been called off
The festival made the announcement on Saturday, the day before the concert, citing the illness of one of the band members. The press release refers to a cancellation, but the festival's website offers more useful detail for the audience: the concert has been postponed and the organisers will try to find a new date, which has not yet been announced.
Natxo de Felipe was due to present Abandonatuak, the project that has brought him back to the stage eleven years after Oskorri's farewell. It revives songs that sat for decades on the band's demos and never made it into their repertoire.
What happens to tickets
According to the organisers, tickets already purchased will be valid for the new date. Anyone who does not want to wait can already request a refund, and the refund option will also remain available once the new date is announced. Festival ticketing queries are handled at entradas@aitzinafolk.org.
The postponement affects this concert only. In the morning, the free performance by Aitzina Ceol Taldea, the festival's group of musician friends, will still go ahead in the Town Hall square in Murgia at 12:00.

A festival raising funds for ataxia-telangiectasia
Aitzina Folk grew out of the support group Aitzina lan taldea, linked to AEFAT, the Spanish association for people affected by ataxia-telangiectasia, a rare disease that affects children and young people. The festival website also lets you make a donation without buying a ticket. If you are looking for more plans over these days, our guide to festivals for the week of 9 to 15 November and our guide to November festivals in Spain have the rest of the listings.
