In short

  1. Al Di Meola closes the festival on Friday 20 November at the Casa Colón, on a double-bill night opened by Claudia Muñoz; the night before, Daniel Cano & The Southern Gang and Magos Herrera perform.
  2. Paid tickets cost from €39 for Al Di Meola and from €15 for the Magos Herrera night, on the City Council's ticketing website and at the Gran Teatro box office.
  3. On Saturday 14 the Plaza de la Merced hosts free music from 13:30 to 20:00, with four acts ending with Viva o Samba.
  4. This third edition takes place at the same time as the Festival de Cine Iberoamericano, from 12 to 20 November, with a single week of programming for both.

Huelva joins November's jazz circuit with the III Festival Iberoamericano de Jazz, which this year runs from 12 to 20 November alongside the Festival de Cine Iberoamericano. American guitarist Al Di Meola tops the bill with his acoustic trio on Friday 20 at the Palacio de Congresos de la Casa Colón, and Mexican singer Magos Herrera performs the night before on the same stage. The rest of the programme, with street concerts, a hall at the Fundación Caja Rural del Sur and activities for schools, is free.

Festival de Jazz de Huelva 2026 programme, day by day

This is the schedule presented by Huelva City Council, with the times of each activity:

  • Thursday 12 November: Inïa Shine Trio, at 20:00, in the Fundación Caja Rural del Sur hall. Free entry with an invitation.
  • Saturday 14 November: a day in the Plaza de la Merced, from 13:30 to 20:00, with IMMJ & All Stars (13:30), a DJ set by Jardín Sonoro (14:45), Groove Intentions (17:00) and Viva o Samba (18:30).
  • Monday 16 to Wednesday 18: educational concerts for primary and secondary schools, from 10:00 to 14:00, given by the Instituto de Música Moderna y Jazz.
  • Wednesday 18 November: master class ‘Early Jazz, Swing & Hot’ at 17:00 in the Fundación Caja Rural del Sur hall; in the evening, at the Casa Colón, Nacho Arcos DJ (19:30) and Huelva band BELLVET (20:30), with free entry.
  • Thursday 19 November: round table on publishing jazz books in Spanish at 17:00, with free admission; at the Casa Colón, Daniel Cano & The Southern Gang (20:00) and Magos Herrera (21:30).
  • Friday 20 November: at the Casa Colón, Claudia Muñoz (20:00) and Al Di Meola (21:30).

Al Di Meola comes with his acoustic line-up, the one with Spanish guitars and the flamenco feel that marked albums such as Elegant Gypsy and his famous trio with Paco de Lucía and John McLaughlin. Magos Herrera, who has blended jazz with Latin American song, shares the night with Daniel Cano & The Southern Gang.

Tickets for Al Di Meola and Magos Herrera: prices and where to buy

Only the two double-bill concerts at the Casa Colón are paid. Tickets are sold on the Huelva City Council ticketing website and at the Gran Teatro box office, with two areas in the auditorium: the lower one, rows 1 to 11, and the upper one, rows 12 to 23.

  • Daniel Cano & The Southern Gang and Magos Herrera (Thursday 19): from €15.
  • Claudia Muñoz and Al Di Meola Acoustic Trio (Friday 20): from €39.

The council website sets the start of both sessions at 20:00, the time of the first concert each night. It does not specify the price of the most expensive area. The Gran Teatro box office opens Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00, and on weekends with a performance, two hours beforehand.

Free jazz in the Plaza de la Merced

Saturday 14 is the day designed for those who don't want to pay for a ticket: the Plaza de la Merced hosts six and a half hours of music, from 13:30 to 20:00. The Instituto de Música Moderna y Jazz group opens with guests, followed by Jardín Sonoro's DJ set, then Groove Intentions and, at 18:30, Viva o Samba. The opening concert on Thursday 12, the BELLVET night on Wednesday 18, the master class and the round table are also free.

A jazz festival within the Film Festival

This is the festival's third edition and the first to share dates with the Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva. The councillor for Culture, Nacho Molina, explained at the presentation that jazz should be ‘another pillar’ of the film festival and not just a series of concerts. The Fundación Caja Rural del Sur collaborates on the programme and lends its hall for some of the activities.

The Huelva festival takes over from other Andalusian events this month: AlmeriJazz ends on 8 November and the Festival de Jazz de Málaga on the 10th, while the Festival de Jazz de la Provincia de Sevilla continues until the 28th with €3 tickets. Outside Andalusia, the Festival de Jazz de Zaragoza also starts on the 12th. The rest of the month's events are in the November festival calendar and in the list of festivals in Andalusia.
