About the festival

Atlantic Fest Vilagarcía de Arousa 2026 has already taken place. Here you can check the dates, line-up and practical information for that edition.

Atlantic Fest Vilagarcía de Arousa 2026 once again takes its place among the big dates of the Galician summer with an edition held on 17, 18 and 19 July 2026 at Praia da Concha, in Vilagarcía de Arousa. The festival also arrives with a very strong line-up from its first announcement, built on names such as Franz Ferdinand, Two Door Cinema Club and Carolina Durante, and with a tenth edition that aims to establish itself as one of the benchmarks of north-west Iberia.

An anniversary with a line-up of real stature

The tenth edition is not being approached as a simple repeat of the previous model. The organisers have announced a block of artists with enough weight to start the countdown for Galician audiences and the festival's regular visitors. The confirmed names include:

  • Franz Ferdinand
  • Two Door Cinema Club
  • Carolina Durante
  • Nacho Vegas
  • Carlos Ares
  • Depresión Sonora
  • Triángulo de Amor Bizarro
  • Nadadora

The line-up sends a very clear message: Atlantic Fest continues to combine international pull, the Spanish scene and a strong connection with Galicia. The fact that Carolina Durante arrive with their only concert in Galicia in 2026 also adds a far from minor touch of uniqueness for the local audience.

Vilagarcía and the logic of a coastal festival

One of the great strengths of Atlantic Fest is that it does not use the beach as mere scenery. Praia da Concha and the town centre of Vilagarcía de Arousa itself are part of the experience. The festival does not end at the site: it also spills out into the town, along the seafront promenade and through a programme that ends up occupying other spaces in the municipality.

This is repeated again in 2026 with a structure that keeps the main site on the beach and extends part of the activity into Sunday with sessions in the streets of Vilagarcía. The model works precisely because it brings together big concerts, a coastal town and festival strolling without losing its identity.

How the trip to Vilagarcía fits together

Vilagarcía de Arousa offered a very convenient base for the festival because it combines beach, accommodation, places to eat and a railway station within a reasonable radius for getting around on foot or with short journeys. This makes things considerably easier for visitors coming up from other parts of Galicia or arriving from further afield in search of a musical getaway with a little more calm than other mass festivals.

At Atlantic Fest this element really matters: the town, the promenade and the ría are not a decorative extra but part of the weekend's appeal. That is one of the reasons why the festival has built such a recognisable identity.

Why Atlantic Fest matters once again

The festival's value lies in its ability to bring together comfort, line-up and personality. It does not need to grow into something gigantic to remain relevant. It is enough for it to curate its selection carefully, keep the human scale of the experience and rely on a town that fits very well with a July musical getaway.

With the tenth edition now under way, Vilagarcía is once again in a strong position within the July calendar. And that goes a long way to explaining why Atlantic Fest continues to hold such a valuable place on the Galician festival map.
