Elrow XXL

The big elrow event in Barcelona no longer carries the XXL label. The brand did not hold any Elrow XXL in the city in 2026 and is now focusing its efforts on the elrow New Year's Day Festival, which will open the year on Friday 1 January 2027 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in Montmeló: more than twelve hours of music, from 14:00 to 02:00, spread across three stages. Tickets are already on sale, although the line-up has not yet been announced.

New Year at the Circuit: date, times and venue

The festival starts at 14:00 on 1 January and ends at 02:00 in the early hours of the 2nd. The organisers mention three stages and a capacity of more than 20,000 people, a very different scale from the New Year parties elrow used to hold at its club.

The venue is the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (Mas La Moreneta, s/n, 08160 Montmeló), the Formula 1 and MotoGP track in Vallès Oriental, north of Barcelona. The fact that it is a circuit outside the city rather than a club has practical consequences: it is best to arrive with your return journey already sorted, especially with a closing time of two in the morning.

The minimum age for entry is 18, according to the ticket listing.

Line-up: no names yet

As of 14 October 2026, neither the elrow website nor the ticketing platform lists any artists. Anyone buying now will do so without knowing who will be DJing on each stage: what is on sale, for the moment, is the date, the venue and the format of a brand known for the staging of its parties.

Tickets and prices

Official sales are open on Enterticket, the ticketing platform linked from the elrow website, with prices from €44. There are four ticket types:

• General Access: general entry to the festival.
• VIP Gold: access to the elrow Stage, an exclusive entry lane and its own bar and toilets.
• VIP Tables: tables by reservation only, through elrow's VIP contact.
• Grand Prix Privé: includes the VIP Gold ticket, a meal with showcooking by 21 de Marzo Catering (from 14:00 to 17:00 in the Panorama Village) and a private after-party in the same space from 02:00. This is also booked through the VIP channel.

The official website does not give the price of each ticket type; the €44 figure is the minimum shown by the ticketing platform for the cheapest ticket currently available.

Getting to Montmeló

The organisers have arranged three coach options, which are bought separately through Busforfun:

• Direct shuttle from plaça Francesc Macià (Barcelona) and avinguda Salvador Espriu, 1 (Badalona). Outbound from 13:00 and return from 02:00.
• Route 1, departing from 12:00 in Tarragona (carrer del Coure, 2, Repsol station) with stops in L'Hospitalet (carretera del Mig, 146) and Montmeló.
• Route 2, departing from 12:30 in Terrassa (carrer de Ciudad Real, 68) with stops in Sabadell (FGC Ibèria station) and Montmeló.

By train, the line to use is Rodalies' R2 Nord to Montmeló; from Girona, take the R11 and change at Granollers Centre for the R2 or R8. Those travelling by car have free parking. For the return journey, the coach is the option that does not depend on the Rodalies timetable.

Why there is no longer an Elrow XXL in Barcelona

XXL is elrow's large-scale touring format, the one that stages one-day parties at large venues in different cities. In 2026 it visited, among others, Málaga and Mallorca, but not Barcelona. In the city, the brand's only event that year was its day at OFFSónar, on 21 June 2026 at the Poble Espanyol, with five stages. The official elrow website does not announce any Barcelona XXL for 2027 either: the only Barcelona date it shows is 1 January at the Circuit.

History: elrow and New Year in Barcelona

elrow was born in 2010 as a Sunday party at Row 14, the Arnau family's club in Viladecans, next to El Prat airport, and from there it grew into a brand with international reach (its story is summarised in the history of elrow). The 1 January party was part of its home calendar for years: the 2020 edition, with Laurent Garnier and Joseph Capriati, sold out before the line-up had even been announced. In 2023, without that event in Barcelona, elrow celebrated New Year at Amnesia, in Ibiza.

The move from Row 14 to the Circuit changes the scale of the plan: from a club to a venue for more than 20,000 people, with several stages and the kind of VIP services found at a festival.
