About the festival

Fumega Fest wrapped up its second edition in Betanzos in June 2026 and has not yet announced a third. There are no dates, line-up or passes for 2027. What its short history does make clear is its profile: a stoner, doom, psychedelia and post-metal festival featuring international bands from the genre, held in a historic garden in Betanzos.

What we know about Fumega Fest 2027

For now, nothing official. The festival's website still shows the 2026 edition and there is no presale open. For reference, the 2026 line-up and passes went on sale in late November 2025, around seven months before the festival.

The calendar is not settled either. The first edition took place in early July and the second in late June, both running from Friday to Saturday. Neither of those dates can be used to pin down the 2027 one.

A festival of long riffs at the Pasatempo

Fumega takes place in the grounds of the Parque do Pasatempo, the town's historic garden, with the park's auditorium as the venue's focal point. It should not be confused with the Festival do Pasatempo, another event in the same park with a more mainstream line-up.

It is promoted by PlayPlan, the company behind SonRías Baixas and BIGSOUND Pontevedra, with the support of the Concello de Betanzos. Here, however, the approach is far more niche: two days of four or five bands, with one foreign headliner per night and Galician acts at both editions.

That structure puts it closer to the specialist European heavy and psychedelic rock festivals than to the general Galician summer calendar: the draw is names such as Conan or Monkey3, not a party programme.

Camping, prices and how to plan

The festival has offered a camping area around 500 metres from the entrance, next to a sports hall, with toilets, showers, 24-hour access control and a covered area. In 2026 it cost €22 for both days; the ground was concrete, so tent pegs could not be used. Vans, campervans and motorhomes paid €12 to use the toilets and showers.

Passes for 2026 started at €57 for both days, and in 2025 day tickets started at €32. These are prices from past editions, useful for working out a budget, not 2027 rates. Sales have been handled through the official website.

Betanzos is around 25 kilometres from A Coruña, so it is also possible to stay in the city and travel in each day.

How Fumega Fest 2026 went

The second edition was held on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June 2026. Friday brought together Conan, the Liverpool doom trio who headlined, with Burst, Men Eater, Luciférnaga and Travo. Saturday featured Stoned Jesus, Causa Sui, Wet Cactus, Volcanova and Moura.

Compared with the debut, the line-up took on a heavier sound: from the space rock and instrumental post-rock of 2025 it moved to Conan's doom and the progressive metal of Swedish band Burst, while psychedelia was left to Danish act Causa Sui. Galicia was represented by Moura, from A Coruña, and Luciférnaga, from Vigo. We covered the details in our Fumega Fest 2026 preview.

The inaugural edition, on 4 and 5 July 2025, had brought Monkey3, Greenleaf, Dvne, Psychonaut, Exxasens and Mohama Saz to Betanzos, with Mano de Piedra and Kalte Sonne on the Galician side, as we explained in the announcement of its line-up. Both line-ups belong to past editions and give no indication of the third.
