About the festival
The Festival Internacional do Mundo Celta de Ortigueira will take place from 7 to 11 July 2027. The town in A Coruña will once again host five days of folk and Celtic culture. The dates are now confirmed and Aérokorda's appearance has been announced after winning Runas 2026; the rest of the music line-up is still to come.
Ortigueira 2027 dates
The festival will begin on Wednesday 7 July and end on Sunday 11. That makes five days, worth bearing in mind when choosing accommodation and transport. The organisers announced the dates on 9 October.
Stage times have not yet been published. The confirmation of the dates does not mean the previous year's bus schedule or camping services still apply.
Aérokorda and the line-up still to come
Belgian trio Aérokorda won the Concurso Runas 2026 by a unanimous jury decision. The announcement of that result confirmed their appearance at the 2027 edition. No day or performance time has been published for them yet.
The full line-up is still pending. Runas is a route into the festival for emerging acts, and its winner links one edition with the next. The other finalists and the bands that played in 2026 do not automatically join the new programme.
Concerts, accommodation and getting there
Free programming is one of Ortigueira's long-standing features. The new announcement focuses on the dates and does not yet set out the terms for services in 2027. Do not buy a supposed general admission ticket through links from other editions, and do not confuse the concerts with any paid services.
To plan your stay, compare accommodation for 7 to 11 July and check the cancellation terms. If you only want to attend part of the festival, the day-by-day schedule will be more useful than booking now based on the 2026 artists.
The 2026 edition, for context
Ortigueira 2026 took place from 8 to 12 July, also over five days. It featured concerts and the Concurso Runas, as well as a cultural programme spread across the town. Aérokorda's win is the only element of that edition expressly announced as continuing into 2027.
