In short

  1. Evanescence, Mötley Crüe, Lorna Shore and Parkway Drive are the four headliners of Resurrection Fest 2027, and three of them are playing Viveiro for the first time.
  2. The first announcement adds up to 72 bands, including Helloween with their 40th anniversary show, Dropkick Murphys, Kreator, Cradle of Filth and the farewell of Enter Shikari, their only concert in Spain in 2027.
  3. Festival passes go on sale on Tuesday 10 November at 12:00 on the official website; the festival has not yet published the prices for this batch.
  4. Mötley Crüe, Evanescence and Helloween also have another date at a Spanish festival that summer, so it is worth comparing before choosing where to see them.

Resurrection Fest now has its first artists for 2027. The festival in Viveiro (Lugo) announced 72 bands on Thursday for its 22nd edition, which takes place from Wednesday 30 June to Saturday 3 July 2027, with Evanescence, Mötley Crüe, Parkway Drive and Lorna Shore as headliners. The new festival passes go on sale on Tuesday 10 November at 12:00.

Evanescence, Mötley Crüe, Parkway Drive and Lorna Shore, headliners

Of the four main names, three are making their festival debut, according to its press release. Evanescence, Amy Lee's band, come to Viveiro after selling out their last Spanish tour. Mötley Crüe, one of the key names in Los Angeles glam metal, will take the main stage. Lorna Shore, one of the deathcore bands most requested by the festival's audience, will headline Wednesday 30 June in their only concert in Spain and Portugal in 2027.

The fourth is an old friend: Parkway Drive return to Viveiro, also for their only date on the Iberian Peninsula this year. The festival has not yet said which day the other headliners will perform.

Resurrection Fest 2027 line-up: the 72 confirmed bands

Below the headliners, the festival highlights Helloween, who play Viveiro for the first time with a long show marking their 40 years and with Michael Kiske, Kai Hansen and Andi Deris on vocals; Dropkick Murphys, who return ten years later; Motionless in White, with a new album; and Kreator, who already headlined the scaled-down 2021 edition.

There are also several concerts with something special about them. Enter Shikari bow out from the stage in 2027 and Viveiro will be their only stop in Spain, and Cradle of Filth will celebrate the anniversary of their album ‘Dusk and Her Embrace’, also as a Spanish exclusive. The festival likewise flags as only dates in Spain those of Fever 333, Leprous, Blood for Blood, Speed, King Buffalo, Daughtry, Coldrain and Kylesa.

This is the full list from the first announcement, in the order published by the festival:

Resurrection Fest 2027 festival passes: on sale 10 November

The new festival passes go on sale on Tuesday 10 November at 12:00 on the festival's official website, which promises to publish all the purchasing information in the coming days. There are no prices yet.

For reference, the first batch of 10,000 Early Bird passes, released in September before any names were known, sold out in just 24 hours, according to ESCplus. The general pass cost €195 at the time and the Pandemonium pass €295. The festival has not said whether the new batch will keep those prices. All the information about this edition, including the Celeiro site and accommodation, is on the Resurrection Fest page.

Mötley Crüe, Evanescence and Helloween, also at other festivals

Anyone going just for one headliner has alternatives. Mötley Crüe play on Saturday 3 July at Barcelona Rock Fest, at Parc de Can Zam in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, according to that festival's website, which bills it as the band's first concert in Barcelona. Evanescence will be at Icónica Sevilla Fest on 29 June, in the Plaza de España, with tickets also on sale on 10 November, at 10:00. And Helloween are on the line-up of Rock Imperium 2027, in Cartagena.

For the rest of the summer, the festival calendar for July to September 2027 brings together the other events in those weeks.
