In short

  1. The 2027 PsychoGod tour has 31 dates and only one in Spain, Rock Imperium: the autumn run of indoor shows reaches Toulouse, Lyon and Paris, but does not cross the Pyrenees.
  2. Dickinson has been on the line-up since the summer, alongside Helloween and Children Of Bodom; what has changed is that it is now known there will be no other chance to see him in Spain in 2027.
  3. Venom no longer appears on the line-up the festival has been circulating since October, although they were one of the first five names announced and there is no statement explaining why.
  4. To see him you need to buy the three-day pass, at €190 plus fees, because it is not yet known which day between 2 and 4 July he will play.

Thirty-one dates across Europe and just one in Spain. Bruce Dickinson has unveiled the PsychoGod Tour, his 2027 solo tour, and the only Spanish stop is Rock Imperium, the metal festival held from 2 to 4 July at Parque El Batel in Cartagena. The Iron Maiden singer has been on the line-up since the summer; the news is that the full tour confirms the Murcia festival will be his only concert in the country that year.

The 2027 PsychoGod tour: 31 dates and only one in Spain

The tour was announced on 27 October and kicks off on 14 June in Belfast. In June it takes in Dublin, Milan, Zurich, Zagreb, Belgrade, Sofia and Istanbul; July brings the festivals, with Rock Imperium pencilled in for 2 to 4 July and the exact day yet to be announced, as is also the case with Rockharz, in Germany, and Masters of Rock, in Czechia. In between, there is a concert in Luxembourg on 7 July.

Then comes a second run in clubs and arenas, from 10 November to 10 December, with Evergrey as support: Poland, the Nordic countries, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and France. The nearest dates are Toulouse (8 December), Lyon (7 December) and the final show in Paris (10 December). None of them is in Spain, so Cartagena is the only way to see him in 2027 without leaving the country.

The tour accompanies his eighth solo album, due in 2027 and still untitled. According to Blabbermouth, he recorded it in early 2026 at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in California, produced by Brendan Duffey, and it will be his first since The Mandrake Project (2024). He is joined by the band from his recent tours: Chris Declercq and Philip Näslund on guitars, Tanya O'Callaghan on bass, Mistheria on keyboards and Dave Moreno on drums.

What is already on the Rock Imperium 2027 line-up

The line-up the festival has been circulating since early October features five names:

  • Helloween, with their 40th anniversary show, at the top.
  • Bruce Dickinson, billed as his only date in Spain.
  • Children Of Bodom, with the tribute to Alexi Laiho, also billed as their only date in Spain.
  • Mayhem, another one-off concert in the country.
  • Erik Grönwall, the former Skid Row vocalist.

The poster ends with “and many more!”, so the line-up is far from complete. What this first batch makes clear is the festival's commitment to exclusives: four of the five names are announced as their only date in Spain. After a 2026 edition that the organisers describe as the biggest in their history, with Iron Maiden headlining, Rock Imperium is once again turning to the Iron Maiden family, this time with the band's singer going solo.

Venom off the current line-up with no official explanation

One name no longer appears. Venom were among the first five acts announced on 6 July, in the same batch as Helloween, Children Of Bodom, Mayhem and Erik Grönwall, and featured on the August poster. They are missing from the one the festival uploaded to its website in early October, and the edition's description on the official Madness Live shop does not mention them either. The news item about the first announcement on the festival's website does still name them.

Neither the festival nor the band has published a statement about their departure, so it is not known whether this is a cancellation or a change yet to be announced. Anyone who bought a pass with Venom in mind would be wise to ask the organisers directly before taking anything for granted.

Rock Imperium 2027 pass: €190 and no day tickets

Official sales are through Madness Live, the festival's promoter. On Thursday only the three-day pass was on sale:

  • General pass: €190 plus fees, with doors opening at 15:00. The shop flags it with the notice “Last tickets!”.
  • Children aged 4 to 12: €10 plus fees; ages 0 to 3, free. From age 13 the full price applies, and under-16s must be accompanied by their father, mother or legal guardian.
  • Reduced mobility: you need to contact the promoter before buying, because tickets for people with reduced mobility and their companions are handled separately and are limited in number.

A maximum of six tickets can be bought per person and card, resale is prohibited and the festival allows payment in three instalments with PayPal. Tickets for the tour's indoor shows go on sale on 30 October, but they have nothing to do with Cartagena: entry there is with the festival pass only.

As there is no day-by-day line-up and no day tickets, anyone going just for Dickinson pays for all three days without yet knowing which one he will play. That is the price of the exclusive. It is easier for those who were already going for Helloween or for the line-up as a whole. Everything published about this edition is on the Rock Imperium page on ModoFestival.

That weekend Rock Imperium clashes with Barcelona Rock Fest, from 1 to 4 July, the other big metal festival on those dates. A comparison of the seven festivals on the first weekend of July is in our guide to choosing a festival from 1 to 4 July 2027, and the rest of the year's clashes are in the 2027 weekends when you will have to choose between festivals.
