In short

  1. Mushka is the first act announced for Canet Rock 2027 and returns to the Pla d'en Sala two years after her festival debut in 2025.
  2. The festival had already sold more than 10,000 tickets before announcing anyone, almost half of the 25,000 people it expects to draw on Saturday 3 July.
  3. Waiting for the full line-up carries a risk: in 2026 tickets sold out four months before the date.
  4. Canet Rock clashes with the Saturday of Vida and Barcelona Rock Fest, the other two Catalan festivals that weekend.

More than 10,000 people already have a ticket for Canet Rock 2027, and until this Tuesday they did not know who would be playing. The festival has now revealed its first act, Mushka, for an edition that will take place on Saturday 3 July at the Pla d'en Sala in Canet de Mar, with more than twelve hours of music until sunrise.

Mushka, back at the Pla d'en Sala

Mushka, the stage name of Irma Farelo, makes urban pop in Catalan with a sound that draws on reggaeton, trap and dancehall. Her latest album, Nova bossa, came out in 2025, and that same summer she made her Canet Rock debut on the line-up for the 50th anniversary edition. She is also playing on home turf: she is from Vilassar de Mar, also in the Maresme.

The organisers present her as "the leading female figure" of a generation that is reinventing urban pop in Catalan. Her return fits the festival's direction, which in recent editions has mixed the flagship Catalan-language pop and rock bands with the urban acts that draw the biggest crowds among young audiences: in 2026 the line-up featured The Tyets, Els Catarres, Figa Flawas, 31 FAM, Doctor Prats and the farewell of La Fúmiga.

More than 10,000 tickets sold without a line-up

The figure comes from the festival itself in its statement of 27 October: before announcing Mushka, Canet Rock had already passed 10,000 tickets sold. Its aim is once again to bring together 25,000 people, the number who, according to the organisers, filled the site in July 2026.

In other words, a large part of the audience buys into the night rather than the line-up. At Canet the format matters as much as the names: a single day that starts in the afternoon and ends with dawn over the Pla d'en Sala, with the last concert finishing at sunrise as the centrepiece.

Buy now or wait for the line-up

Tickets are on sale on the official website, via Onebox, and the festival says tickets are still "on promotion", without specifying until when. In the last week of October, the official sale listed general admission at €53 and children's tickets, for ages 0 to 12, at €32. There are no other ticket types: it is a single night and a single ticket.

The 2026 experience is the best guide. That edition, held on 4 July, put up the sold out sign in March, four months beforehand. With more than 10,000 sold in October, the margin for 2027 is smaller than it seems: anyone who is sure they want to go has little to gain by waiting to see the rest of the line-up, and risks missing out or paying the next price tier. Anyone whose decision depends on a particular band does have reason to wait.

What is still unknown is almost everything else: the rest of the line-up, the stage times and the 2027 transport arrangements. Everything published so far about this edition is on the Canet Rock page on ModoFestival.

A Saturday that forces a choice in Catalonia

3 July 2027 coincides with the last day of Vida, in Vilanova i la Geltrú, and the third day of Barcelona Rock Fest. They attract different audiences, but anyone who wants to go to Canet will have to give up that night at either of the other two. The comparison of the seven festivals that weekend is in the guide to choosing a festival from 1 to 4 July 2027.
