In short
- Palencia Sonora sold all its 2027 passes in under an hour without a single name on the line-up: there were more than 60,000 purchase requests, seven times the venue's capacity, according to the festival.
- It is not an isolated case: Alterna, Vive Linares and Gazpatxo Rock sold a first tier blind that is now sold out, and Z! Live reserved a presale before the line-up for its previous buyers.
- Those who buy later pay more: the gap between the no-line-up tier and today's is €22 at Z! Live and €25, plus fees, at Vive Linares.
- Before buying blind, bear in mind that you will not be able to return the pass if you don't like the line-up: the law gives no right of withdrawal on dated tickets, and terms such as those of Monegros or MUWI make no provision for refunds due to artist changes.
Buying a pass without knowing who is going to play is no longer a gamble taken by a loyal few. In June, Palencia Sonora sold out every pass for its 2027 edition, which takes place on 11 and 12 June, in under an hour and without a single artist announced. Today, almost eight months before the festival, it still has no line-up and no passes left.
It is not the only one. Several 2027 festivals have sold their first tier, the cheapest, "blind", and that tier is already sold out. These are the cases that can be checked on their official ticket sales, what they cost then and what it costs to get in now.
Palencia Sonora: 60,000 requests and passes sold out in under an hour
Pass sales for the XXIV edition were due to open on Monday 15 June 2026. According to the festival itself, the more than 60,000 purchase requests that day, seven times the venue's current capacity, crashed the ticketing platform's payment system, and the sale was moved to the following morning with a virtual queue. On Tuesday 16, in under an hour, there were no passes left.
Its official sales page shows how it was set up: the general pass was sold in seven tiers rising in steps of five euros, from €61.95 to €91.95 including fees, and the VIP pass in five, from €101.95 to €121.95. All are listed as sold out. Still on sale are the children's pass, for ages 11 to 15 (€41.95), and the camping ticket (€10), which does not include entry to the festival.
Those who bought do not yet have their ticket: the festival issued a receipt linked to a purchase reference and will send the passes a few days before the festival, a system it says is intended to curb fraudulent resale, scams and bot purchases. For those who missed out, one option remains: day tickets, which the festival plans to put on sale at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027, with no price announced. Details of the edition are on the Palencia Sonora page.
The other 2027 passes sold without a line-up
- Alterna Festival (El Bonillo, Albacete, 2 and 3 July). Its official sale offered a single product: 500 "blind" two-day passes at €40 plus fees, now sold out. According to Planomato, the organisers put another 500 tickets for 2027 on sale in person from 3 July, before opening the online presale on the 8th. There are currently no other tickets on sale and no line-up presented as the 2027 one.
- Vive Linares Fest (Linares, 7 and 8 May). The €40 plus fees blind pass is sold out, as is its version for people with reduced mobility. The festival has been adding names in batches, headed by Viva Suecia and Iván Ferreiro.
- Gazpatxo Rock (Ayora, 20 February). The €28 plus fees blind ticket and the €30 launch offer are sold out; the line-up was revealed afterwards, as we reported when announcing Reincidentes' Cuchara de Oro.
- Z! Live Rock Fest (Zamora, 17 to 19 June). On 29 June it opened a presale of 1,000 passes at €120 plus €12 in fees, only for those who had bought at previous editions, with a password sent by email and a 24-hour window. There was no line-up: the first one, with Edguy and Stratovarius, arrived on 8 September. On its official sales page, that rate is now listed as sold out.
- Monegros Desert Festival (Fraga, 31 July). With no artists announced, its website warns that more tickets will go on sale on 29 October; the tickets page already shows general admission at €81 plus fees.

It is worth not lumping every quick sell-out together. Antorchas opened its sale on 9 October while presenting a first preview of nine artists: its €60 launch pass was listed as sold out that same day, and the €70 one then sold out too. There, people were buying with half a line-up, not blind. Today the concert pass costs €75 including fees.
What arriving late costs today
The pattern repeats itself: the no-line-up tier is the cheapest and, once it sells out, the next one is more expensive. This is the difference as of 24 October:
| Festival | What was sold without a line-up | What is available today |
|---|---|---|
| Palencia Sonora | Passes from €61.95 to €91.95 (VIP up to €121.95), including fees | Sold out; day tickets at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027 |
| Alterna Festival | 500 passes at €40 plus fees | Sold out, with no more tickets on sale |
| Vive Linares Fest | Blind pass at €40 plus fees | General pass at €65 plus fees; VIP at €120 |
| Gazpatxo Rock | Blind ticket at €28 plus fees | Ticket at €33 plus fees |
| Z! Live Rock Fest | Presale for previous buyers at €132 including fees | Pass at €154 including fees |
In the case of Z! Live, the €22 difference is between the presale and the current tier, Promo 2; in between there was a rate of €130 plus fees that ended on 11 September. At Vive Linares, those who bought blind saved €25, plus fees, compared with those buying today, with Viva Suecia and Iván Ferreiro already announced. And at Palencia Sonora the issue is no longer the price: anyone who didn't buy in June can only wait for the day tickets.
What you should know before buying a blind pass
There is no right of withdrawal. Consumer law excludes leisure services with a specific date from the 14 days to return a distance purchase, and a festival is one of them. If you change your mind when the line-up comes out, you will not be able to return the pass for that reason.
A line-up change does not give you the right to a refund either. The terms of Monegros expressly state that the organisers may modify or cancel performances and that such changes will not, under any circumstances, entitle you to a refund. The terms of MUWI, which offers a blind pass for its 2027 edition limited to 500 units, state that tickets cannot be exchanged or returned once purchased; if the festival is cancelled, the price is refunded, but not the distribution cost. Read those terms before paying, because they are the ones that apply.
Check whether it is in your name and whether it can be transferred. At Monegros, tickets are issued in the holder's name and can only be resold through authorised channels; any other resale may cancel the ticket. At Palencia Sonora, those who bought only have a receipt for now: the pass arrives a few days before the festival. If you are buying for a group, make sure you will be able to change the name if someone can't go.
Check whether the price includes fees. Some sales pages show the final price and others add fees at checkout: at these festivals they range from €1.95 per pass to 10% of the price. The €40 for the Vive Linares or Alterna blind pass means €40 plus fees; Palencia Sonora's €61.95 already included them.
Presales for loyal fans come first. Z! Live reserved its 1,000 cheapest passes for previous buyers, and Festiuet announces on its website 2,000 passes from €40 exclusively for those who have already attended. If you are interested in a particular festival, having bought at previous editions is what gives you access to those tiers; at Z! Live, the password was sent to each buyer's email.
There are still 2027 passes on sale before the line-up. The one for Sun & Snow, at the Parking de Los Peñones in Sierra Nevada from 16 to 18 April, is sold on Ticketmaster, the sales platform the festival links to: the three-day Super Earlybird pass was still available on 24 October at €55 including fees, although its name in the shop includes the label "sold out". ModoFestival may receive a commission if you buy through this link, at no extra cost to you. Before paying, check the price shown in the basket.
