In short

  1. Viña Rock 2027 passes go on sale on Tuesday 3 November at 12:00, at a fixed price of €30 for the first 30 hours.
  2. Registered residents of Villarrobledo pay €15 and can buy a day earlier, on Monday 2 November, if they sign up before 23:59 on Thursday 29 October.
  3. The festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary even though it was founded in 1996: the count works by editions, because the pandemic meant two years without Viña Rock.
  4. Buying on the 3rd means buying without a single act confirmed, and the website still does not say which ticketing platform is selling 2027 or what the price will be after those 30 hours.

Viña Rock is moving early this year and has put a price on its anniversary before announcing anyone. The first passes for the 2027 edition, which will take place from 29 April to 1 May in Villarrobledo (Albacete), go on sale on 3 November at €30, a price the organisers are holding for just 30 hours. Last year the first batch arrived in December and cost €39.99.

Passes at €30 from 3 November at 12:00

The official website sums it up with a countdown: a fixed price of €30 for 30 hours, with sales opening on Tuesday 3 November at 12:00. If the 30 hours run from that moment, the offer lasts until 18:00 on Wednesday 4. The festival has not said what the pass will cost once that window closes.

This is the three-day general pass, and it includes the welcome party and the rest area, the space where festival-goers pitch their own tents. The website does not make clear whether booking fees are added to the €30.

Comparing it with last year helps put the offer in context. For 2026, the first sale opened in December at €39.99 for 48 hours, as we reported when announcing the dates for Viña Rock 2027. Now the opening pass is almost ten euros cheaper, goes on sale a month earlier and the window is shorter. To see how it compares with other events this year, there is the price of 2027 festival passes, from cheapest to most expensive.

Villarrobledo residents: 2,500 pesetas and a day’s head start

For registered residents of Villarrobledo, the pass costs €15. The organisers are billing it as ‘2,500 pesetas’, a nod to the festival’s origins and, according to its website, a thank-you to the locals who have made it possible.

You need to sign up in advance. The form on the official website is open until 23:59 on Thursday 29 October, and the organisers will check the DNI of everyone who registers. The sale for registered residents will be on Monday 2 November, from 00:00 to 23:59, a day before general sales open. El Español mentions a quota of passes at that price; the official website does not give the figure.

Why 2027 is the 30th anniversary if the festival was founded in 1996

The festival’s website places its origins in 1996 and presents the 2027 edition as its 30th anniversary, with the slogan ‘30 years making noise’. Counting years, there are 31 between 1996 and 2027. The count works by editions.

The pandemic left Viña Rock without a festival in 2020 and 2021. When it returned to Villarrobledo in April 2022, EFE presented it as its 25th anniversary, and the agency called the 2025 event the 28th edition. With that numbering, 2026 was the 29th and 2027 will be the 30th: the festival’s ‘30th anniversary’ is, in fact, its 30th edition.

No line-up and no ticketing platform announced: what to know before the 3rd

The key point is that in 2026 the sale came two days after the first names were announced. This time there are none. Viña Rock has not announced any 2027 artists; what it has on its website is a survey for the public to suggest bands, with two passes as a prize for participants. Anyone buying on the 3rd will be doing so for the festival, the atmosphere and the dates, not for a headliner.

Nor is it clear where tickets will be sold. The buy button on the official website still leads to the 2026 sale on Enterticket, and the festival has not said which ticketing platform will handle 2027. The safest option is to go in on the 3rd via the official Viña Rock website and not to trust resellers or links from previous seasons.

For those who make the long weekend every year, the maths is simple: €30 for three days of festival with a camping area is the only general price announced so far, and there is no need to wait for anything else to decide. For those who would only go for a particular band, it makes more sense to wait for the line-up. And it is worth checking the calendar: Viña Rock shares its weekend with other festivals, as covered in the 2027 festivals that clash with Viña Rock, Rocanrola, Azkena and Antorchas. Dates, venue and facilities are on the Viña Rock festival page.
