In short

  1. Hamlet, Fausto Taranto with La Moneta on dance and Deaf Devils are the first three names for +Espárrago 2027: veteran Madrid metal, flamenco metal from Granada and punk, with more bands still to be announced.
  2. Tickets cost €20 until the full line-up is revealed; after that they will go up to €25 for advance and €30 for general admission, so buying now saves up to €10.
  3. Under-12s get in free with an adult who has a ticket, and the youth ticket for 13- to 17-year-olds costs the same as the launch ticket.
  4. Set times, the bus and tickets for people with reduced mobility are still to be confirmed, and once inside the pavilion you cannot leave and come back in.

The festival with which Huétor Tájar revives the name of Espárrago Rock now has a date and its first names for 2027. +Espárrago Music and Sound will take place on Saturday 3 April 2027 at the Pabellón de Usos Múltiples in the town in the province of Granada, with Hamlet, Fausto Taranto con La Moneta al baile and Deaf Devils as a first taste, and tickets at €20 while the launch offer lasts.

Hamlet, Fausto Taranto with La Moneta and Deaf Devils: rock, flamenco and punk

The three names sum up what the festival itself promises on its ticket page: a meeting between “the south and rock, from flamenco to the heavy stuff”. Each one covers part of that phrase.

Hamlet are the veterans. The Madrid band fronted by J. Molly have been active since 1987 and in February 2025 released Inmortal, their first studio album in more than six years; MariskalRock notes that they will still be touring it in Huétor Tájar. In September they played FeneRock 2026, alongside El Drogas and Aphonnic.

Fausto Taranto are playing on home turf. The Granada band blend rock and metal with flamenco, and in Huétor Tájar they will share the stage with La Moneta, the Granada flamenco dancer who trained in the zambras of Sacromonte, who will bring dance to the live show. With musicians and a dancer from the province and its mix of metal and flamenco, this is the act that best fits the festival's motto.

Deaf Devils bring the punk. According to the organisers, as reported by MariskalRock, their live shows are “wild”; the band are also on the bill for Gazpatxo Rock 2027 in Ayora, alongside Soziedad Alkoholika and Reincidentes.

The poster announcing this edition leaves three blacked-out rows above those names, so the bulk of the programme, including the headliners, has yet to be revealed.

Tickets at €20 until the line-up is complete

Tickets are on sale on Entradium, the official ticketing platform, with three price tiers already announced:

  • Launch offer, €20, until the full line-up is revealed. This is the final price, with booking fees included.
  • Advance, €25, from the announcement of the full line-up.
  • General admission, €30.

The festival first reserved that price for 48 hours for those who attended the last edition, the so-called “Comunidad Esparraguera”, and then opened it up to the general public. You can buy a maximum of four tickets per person.

If you know you are going, you pay a third less today than the general admission price. Buying before the full line-up is known carries limited risk: the outlay is small and the terms of sale provide for a full refund, fees included, if the festival is cancelled, postponed or substantially changed; what there is no right to is a refund for a change of plans. The organisers only recognise tickets from their official channels and warn that they may cancel resold tickets.

Minors: free up to age 12 and a €20 youth ticket

Under-12s get in free, provided they are accompanied throughout the festival by their mother, father, guardian or an authorised adult with a ticket. For 13- to 17-year-olds there is a €20 youth ticket, with ID (DNI) required at the entrance. The ticket page labels the free ticket as “under 13”, while the festival information refers to under-12s, so anyone going with a 12-year-old would do well to check at info@masesparrago.com.

All minors need the signed minors' access form, which can be downloaded from the ticket page; a single form covers three minors. Up to the age of 15, with or without a ticket, they must be accompanied. 16- and 17-year-olds can go in on their own if their mother, father or guardian ticks that option on the form, in which case they must bring it signed from home along with a photo of the signatory's ID (DNI).

Still to be announced: set times, bus and accessibility

The ticket page puts the start at 17:00, but the festival says set times and door opening are still to be confirmed. The bus is also pending: it will go on sale later, with a return or one-way-back option, and no times as yet. Tickets for people with reduced mobility are not on sale yet either; in the meantime, the organisers will reserve them at the offer price if you write to info@masesparrago.com.

A practical point for planning your day: if you leave the venue, you cannot get back in. The pavilion is on Paseo Redonda Norte in Huétor Tájar and the festival is organised by the town council.

From Espárrago Rock to +Espárrago

The name is no coincidence. Huétor Tájar was the birthplace of Espárrago Rock, which was born in 1989 as a cultural activity of the Feria Andaluza del Espárrago and was a pioneering festival in Andalusia; the University of Granada has devoted the exhibition “Espárrago Rock: a contrapelo” to it, at the Hospital Real. +Espárrago is not that festival: according to the organisers, as reported by The Sound of the Embryo, it was created to revive its underground, community spirit, in the same town and in a much smaller format, a single day in a pavilion.

The previous edition took place on 14 March 2026 in the same pavilion, with Def Con Dos, Hora Zulú, Poncho K, Bala and Quentin Gas y Los Zíngaros, among others, according to the local press. That year the organisers had planned part of the programme outdoors and ended up moving all of it inside because of the bad weather forecast. For 2027 the festival moves three weeks later, to the first week of April. If you are looking for other events nearby, ModoFestival has a listings guide to festivals in the province of Granada.
