In short

  1. Catupecu Machu is the best-known name in the final batch, which adds 35 artists to the showcase circuit, with acts from Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Portugal, Cape Verde and Ireland.
  2. The nights will have their own club programme: Clyde and six clubs and collectives, from Brecha Club to Bistec and Dabadaba, bring together around twenty DJ sets and live shows.
  3. With the line-up complete, we still don't know which day each artist plays: the festival talks of 123 performances on nine stages, but has not published the day-by-day split or the stage times.
  4. Only passes are on sale: €111.24 for the three-day pass, €94.56 for Friday and Saturday and €27.81 for the under-25 weekend pass, all on DICE.

Monkey Week SON Estrella Galicia now has its full line-up. The showcase festival in El Puerto de Santa María presented the final batch for its 18th edition on Friday in Madrid, at the Palacio de Longoria, the headquarters of the SGAE. The festival takes place from Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 November: 35 more artists, with Argentinian band Catupecu Machu as the most recognisable name, and an electronic music circuit for the nights.

With these additions, the artists page on the official website now lists 103 names, and the organisers put the programme at 123 live performances. What is still missing is the practical guide: which day and at which venue each act plays.

Catupecu Machu and 34 other names complete the Monkey Week 2026 line-up

The surprise of this batch is Catupecu Machu, a band with a three-decade career, at a festival whose motto is discovering tomorrow's music today. The alternative rock band founded in Buenos Aires by brothers Fernando and Gabriel Ruiz Díaz in 1994 is presented by Argentina's Instituto Nacional de la Música (INAMU), which is also bringing BB Asul and Broke Carrey.

The rest of the list shows clearly how a showcase line-up is put together: almost every artist comes via a label, an agency or an institution. Universal Music Spain presents Alba Morena, Sienna, Maximiliano Calvo and 1111. The label Rural brings As Ánimas, El Iceberg, Guilherme Zapata and Jade4; Basque Music backs Ke Lepo and Marte Lasarte, and Navarra Music Commission supports Anne Lukin, Ben Yart and Sedientos de Cumbia. The island councils of La Palma and El Hierro present GAF & The Love Supreme Arkestra, Macaca Radiata and Tal!!!.

The international side widens the map beyond Africa, which had featured strongly in the previous announcements with Fulu Miziki, The Zawose Queens and Kabeaushé. Now come Asia Menor and Cancamusa from Chile, Agustina Giovio from Uruguay, Maria Reis, Cave Story and Cortada from Portugal, Fidju Kitxora from Cape Verde and The Null Club from Ireland. Singer and pianist Laura Diepstraten is presented by the Fundación Music For All.

The batch is completed by BAF, Baile Entero, Fresquito y Mango, GROAL, Javi Medina, Rosin de Palo x Alba Calva and Sardiné. They join Nacho Vegas, Mujeres, María Terremoto and Fillas de Cassandra, who were in the first Monkey Week 2026 line-up announcement in September, as well as Los Nastys and Steve Wynn & Chris Cacavas, who were added in October.

Monkey Clubbing: Clyde and six clubs for the nights

The other new feature comes in the small hours. Under the name Monkey Clubbing, the line-up brings together Clyde and six clubs and collectives: Las Diñas; Brecha Club, with French artist King Doudou; Dabadaba Party; Stigma Tribale; Bistec, which brings Estrellas del Rap Nacional and a live set from Brava; and Los Dominguito. In total, around 20 DJ sets and live performances.

According to what was said at the presentation, Clyde will open the electronic nights on Thursday and the clubs will share Friday and Saturday. The venues and times of each set have not yet been published. The festival website already described its nights as concerts and DJ sets in various venues; this year that part of the programme has its own name and line-up.

Monkey Week 2026 day-by-day line-up and stage times: what we still don't know

Completing the line-up does not answer the question that matters most when planning the trip: the festival has not published which day each artist plays, at which venue or at what time. Nor has it published the full list of the nine stages it announces. Its website names some of the usual venues, such as the Monasterio de la Victoria, the Castillo de San Marcos, Bodegas Caballero and the Teatro Pedro Muñoz Seca.

The festival shared the full line-up on its Instagram account with the list of additions:

What is fixed is the overall framework. According to the ticketing page, activities for the public begin on Thursday 19 at 20:30 and end in the early hours of Sunday 22. Until the stage times are released, the place to follow the day-by-day split is the Monkey Week festival page, with the line-up, venues and how to get there. It should not be confused with Monkey Weekend, the same organisers' summer event, which has its own dates and tickets.

Monkey Week 2026 passes: prices and what each one includes

Official sales are through DICE, linked from the festival website. These were the prices on 23 October, all-inclusive according to the platform:

  • Full pass (Thursday, Friday and Saturday): €111.24, in the tier DICE calls final release.
  • Weekend pass (Friday and Saturday): €94.56, also in final release.
  • Under-25 weekend pass (Friday and Saturday): €27.81, for those born on or after 1 January 2001, with ID required when exchanging it.
  • PRO accreditation (Wednesday to Saturday): €116.81, for industry professionals, including the Monkey PRO activities.

There are no single-day tickets. Anyone who can only go on Saturday has to buy the weekend pass, and the youth pass does not include Thursday. Without the day-by-day split, it is also not yet possible to know which night features the artists each person wants to see. Tickets are exchanged for a wristband at the festival box office, and the wristband does not guarantee entry to every concert: each venue has its own capacity and the organisers recommend arriving early for the ones you are most interested in.

If you are going with minors, check before buying: the summary on the ticketing page states that entry is for over-18s with ID, but its FAQs do admit minors: free up to the age of 11, with a ticket from 12, accompanied by an adult up to 15 and always with a signed authorisation at the box office.

November offers plenty of chances to combine plans. Carmen Lancho, who is on the Monkey Week bill, plays a week later at Sonido Bomba, at Sala But in Madrid, and Fira Trovam, in Castelló, offers a similar format a week earlier. Other plans are in the guide to November 2026 festivals in Spain and in the listings for festivals in the province of Cádiz.
